5 Home Business Tips

September 21, 2021 by Sara Leave a Comment

If you’re ready to trade in your 9 to 5 job in order to run your own business from the comfort of your home, there are a variety of tips that you can follow in order to increase your chances of obtaining the success that you dream of. If you’re determined to build your own business empire, simply continue reading to discover a few invaluable home business tips, that will help you get started!

5 Home Business Tips:

Consider soundproofing your home office:

If you have a dedicated room set aside as your home office and have the budget to soundproof your office, it’s a great idea to do so. As if you’re able to work in peace and quiet, you’ll be a lot more productive. It’s a particularly great idea to soundproof your home office if your office is located close to your lounge or kitchen, where your household may create a lot of distracting noise.

Place a schedule on the door of your home office:

If you have a young family you may want to place an easy-to-read schedule on the door of your home office, so that your partner and kids know when you’re busy and should not be disturbed. This is an excellent idea if you regularly take phone calls or video calls and don’t want to be interrupted during your important business calls.

Set office hours for yourself:

It’s a great idea to set office hours for yourself. During these hours make sure to concentrate on your business instead of doing household chores, watching Netflix, or spending time with your family members. As often when individuals work from home, they find it easy to become distracted and to procrastinate. If you find that your original office hours change, be flexible enough to change your office hours in order to suit your lifestyle.

Ensure that you get fresh air each day:

If you work from home, it’s important to ensure that you get at least 15 minutes of fresh air each day. For example, during your lunch break, you may want to take a quick walk around your block or you may want to take some of your business calls from your garden. Just be sure to set up a table in your garden such as a wooden picnic table, that you can work from.

Make sure that you have a foolproof business plan:

Just because you’re working out of your home, doesn’t mean that you can skip writing a business plan. Your business plan should contain your long-term and short-term business goals, your marketing plans, and your plans to make a return on your initial investment. If you plan to have investors, you’ll also need a foolproof business plan in order to convince your investors that your project is worth investing in.

So if you are looking forward to building a thriving business from your home and are determined to reach your short-term and long-term business goals, it’s well worth using all of the tips in this article to meet your goals.

5 Home And Garden Tips

September 21, 2021 by Sara Leave a Comment

Are you interested in learning what you can do with your grass clippings and how you can clean your home without traditional cleaning products? If so, simply continue reading to discover a list of smart home and garden tips that you may not have come across before.

5 Home and Garden Tips:

Keep your food scraps in order to create your own compost:

Instead of throwing out your food scraps, you can keep them in a compost bucket in your garden. Ideally, you should leave your food scraps in your compost bin for two weeks before you shovel your compost into your soil, which you can place in your garden. So if you want to save money on purchasing expensive fertilizer and want to do your part to lead a green lifestyle, it’s well worth learning how to compost. If you need further help there are plenty of YouTube videos that will teach you the basics of how to create your own compost.

Don’t throw out any grass clippings:

Once you’ve mowed your lawn, keep your grass clippings as they can be used as mulch for your soil and are packed full of nutrients that can stimulate plant growth. Another reason why grass clippings are so useful is that they naturally produce a high amount of nitrogen, which is excellent for plant growth.

Learn how to use essential oils in order to clean surfaces in your home:

Some essential oils which you’ll be able to use to clean surfaces in your home include lemon oil, tea tree oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil, cinnamon oil, and pine oil. Just be mindful that you may need to dilute your essential oils into a bucket of lukewarm water. As essential oils are incredibly potent and a few drops of essential oil definitely goes a long way.

One essential oil which is safe to use to clean your kitchen floors and countertops is lemon oil. As it’s not toxic and has antibacterial properties, which will help keep your kitchen surfaces clean. If you can only afford to purchase one essential oil, opt for lemon oil.

Opt for organic laundry detergents and cleaning products:

If you want to ensure that your family isn’t being exposed to harsh chemicals, it’s a great idea to stop purchasing traditional cleaning products that are full of chemicals, in favor of organic cleaning products and laundry detergents. If you or anyone else in your household gets rashes such as red, inflamed rashes on their arms and legs, it’s highly likely that they are allergic to the chemicals in your washing detergent.

Steam clean your drapes once a year:

Just as your carpets can benefit from steam cleaning, it’s also a great idea to steam clean your drapes in order to restore their natural color and to keep your drapes hygenic.

So if you are keen on the idea of using essential oils which have been diluted in order to clean your home and to use your grass clippings as mulch for your garden, it’s well worth testing out the tips which are listed above.

Use your coffee grinds to unclog your sink:

You don’t have to purchase expensive cleaning products to try and unclog a clogged sink. Instead, mix your used coffee grounds with detergent or soap and boiling water and pour your mixture down your drain. The combination of coffee grounds, detergent, and boiling water will help break up the particles that have clogged up your drain.

Use a few drops of essential oils to polish your wood furniture or wood floors:

Another way to save yourself money is to use a few drops of essential oils such as lemon oil in order to effectively polish your hardwood furniture and your wood floors. For example, you’ll be able to use lemon oil in order to clean a wood desk or a wood vanity with little effort. Especially as lemon oil can remove stains and marks from wood.

Use a tiny bit of toothpaste to remove scratches from wood:

Even if there are deep scratches in your wood furniture or flooring, you can buff them out so that they are far less noticeable by using a bit of toothpaste on a small microfiber cloth.

Use a hairdryer to get crayon marks off your walls:

If you’re the parent of young children who love drawing on your pristine walls, there’s no need to panic as you can easily get stubborn crayon marks off your walls. When you point your hairdryer at the marks on your walls, the heat will soften the wax in the crayon marks after which point you can use a damp cloth to simply wipe your crayon marks away.

Ensure that your microwave smells clean by using vinegar to remove any odors:

As your microwave is likely to smell after heating up various different meals, you can deodorize your microwave by placing a small bowl of vinegar in your microwave for five minutes.

Try using mouthwash to clean your toilet bowl:

If you run out of cleaning products to keep your toilet bowl squeaky clean you can actually use mouthwash in order to effectively clean your toilet bowl and to easily remove any stains that you might have noticed.

Purchase handy Alka-Seltzer tablets to clean your skillets and pans:
