Colorado is an excellent destination to visit as a family, no matter what time of year. Alternatively, if you choose to visit Colorado in winter, you’ll be able to teach your kids how to ski or snowboard and will be able to participate in dog sledding and snowmobile riding excursions. You’ll even be able to take a soak in outdoor hot pools after a day of snowboarding or skiing.

At night, it’s well worth treating your whole family to a night out at a Cirque du Soleil show. As Cirque du Soleil is the most famous circus company in the world and is highly regarded for its highly talented performers such as acrobats and ariel artists. If you’re looking to grab a family-friendly meal before your show, head to the iconic Hard Rock Cafe which is also the perfect location for a few family photo opportunities.

While in Las Vegas, you can also book a zip-lining day trip experience which will allow your family to zip-line through the canyons in Nevada. If you have adventurous, thrill-seeking kids they’ll love this particular experience.

It’s highly unlikely that you think of Utah when it comes time to plan a family trip but Utah actually has a lot of family-friendly attractions and activities to explore. For example, you may want to visit an Evermore a fantasy-inspired theme park that revolves around role-playing with the actors who work at the park. Some of the activities on offer at Evermore include axe throwing, quest completing, and getting to watch a falconry show. Alternatively, if you visit Utah you may want to plan a multi-day rafting trip with your kids. Which is a great idea if your kids love camping.
